My crazy life

The good news is: I'm almost out of debt!! I am so excited, you have no idea! I moved back in with my parents because I was having trouble making ends meet as a single mom in Lexington. I was less than excited about it, but it really has helped me financially. Not to mention, the lovely IRS gave me a nice tax refund this year! I am so over credit card debt! With the exception of my student loans and one major hospital bill (3 days in the hospital + no insurance = huge hospital bill), all of my debts are paid off! Now I can make payments on the other two and it is at least manageable debt, before it was chaos and debt collectors out the ying-yang. No more, I heard "paid in full" several times yesterday and literally started jumping for joy!

The bad news is: The drama won't go away. I knew there was a reason I hated small towns! Everybody knows everybody else and everything you've done since the day you were born! My ex-husband likes to start stuff with me. If that wasn't enough, Shawn and I broke up because it just wasn't working, nothing major. Then, he turned psycho! I got over 500 rude/crude text messages from him in 5 days and he posted my picture and phone number along with some other comments on a social networking site for all the world to see (his page is public). I got them removed by the site administrator, but they were up long enough for me to get a few phone calls from a couple of guys believing the trash! This is crazy, I thought I was out of high school! It's really aggravating.

Anyway, the kids are doing well. Adam loves it here and never wants to leave Memaw and grandpa's house. Aurea despises it here and begs daily to move back to Lexington. Since I can't please them both, I'm just taking it one day at a time and whatever happens, happens.

I quit my job. I loved the girls and being there for them, but the hours were too much. My checks for 108 hours in two weeks were nice, but I never got to see my own children. When my son started texting me just to say "hi" and "I love you" I knew enough was enough. So I went to pick up my check Friday and the girls were outside playing volleyball. They yelled for me so I went to give side hugs and say goodbye. Apparently, that is not allowed, I got run off after that because it's against HIPPA or something (even though I know their stories already). At any rate, I did get to say goodbye to most of them.

No Air

Okay, I'm in one of my moods. I get in them often, but especially right now when I'm dealing with a lot of drama in my life. I just feel lost and overwhelmed right now. Since I really don't feel like discussing everything, I thought I would post another video. This isn't the official video (embedding was disabled on it), but I like the song!!

My deepest admiration

I send my deepest admiration to all parents of more than two children. Don't get me wrong, having two children is very rewarding, I know, I have the best two children a mother could ask for. However, I also babysat my niece and nephew Saturday night. I had a total of four children ages 2, 6, 7, and 12. The entire night was complete chaos! I'm used to knowing where two children are and what they are doing. It usually still leaves me plenty of time to finish the things I need to do (except during football season!).

Four children is another story. Keeper (my nierce, age 2) wanted constant attention and was into everything. Aurea (my daughter, age 6) was acting like a 2-year-old to try to get the attention Keeper was getting. Hunter (my nephew, age 7) was being the loud, rough and tumble, ADHD child that he is. Adam (my son, age 12) was continuing to show the fact that he is going through puberty with the moods and attitudes.

If one child was not crying or screaming, another one was yelling for me to look at this or that stunt on the skateboard or wanting praise over a video game. Adam has learned to scream just because he feels like it. Aurea and Keeper just want attention.

During supper I felt like I was waiting tables again. Each child wanted something different and wanted to be picky. They all wanted something different to drink. After everyone was settled (or so I thought), they needed various condiments.

After supper, they took turns making messes. At one point, the boys went outside to roll around in the mud and become completely disguisting. Adam thought he didn't need a shower after that. Hunter wanted a milkshake. Aurea was tired. Keeper refused to lay down. Finally, Aurea went to bed, Adam agreed to shower (after a nice long lecture), Hunter sat down to a movie, and I rocked Keeper to sleep.

I love all four children, but it was a very chaotic, stressful evening. I could not imagine having to deal with all of that plus sports and stuff on a daily basis. Therefore, I am even more grateful to only have two children. I also send out my deepest admiration to those with four, six, etc. children who are able to do that daily!

Thanks Damama! I'm not as fast as you, but it was still an interesting test!

Thank you Damama

Leave it to Damama to figure out my album cover. It should now read: Technocracy. Any of your business? Strange sounding, but it works! LOL

Well, I worked 64.25 hours this week so I haven't even checked my email in a week! If your comments take time to show up, this is why! Sorry, I promise I'm not ignoring anyone.

School was out Friday for in-service, but would have been out anyway. We got 4" of snow! I know that doesn't sound like much to people who are used to much much more, but that is alot for south-central Kentucky! The kids loved it. Aurea had my niece over Thurs. night and Adam had Griffin stay the night. I'm glad they enjoyed it, I got 2 whole hours of sleep and went back to work (we are short-staffed right now)!!

Adam still thinks he's Ryan Scheckler and hoping for a sponsor. Guess the whole Urgent Care thing didn't bother him much! Aurea is just waiting for summer and warmth, I know the feeling.

I haven't talked to anyone much lately -- on here or in person-- so thanks for the patience and I'm sorry this one is so short. I'll try to write again tomorrow.

My album cover

CREATE YOUR OWN ALBUM COVER: An exercise in randomness.

Damama had this on her blog the other day.
Here's what you are supposed to do to create your own album:

Go to……

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
(The first article title on the page is the name of your band.)

http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
(The last four words of the very last quote is the title of your album.)

http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days
The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

Technocracy: Any of your business

Okay, I've seen this done on a couple of blogs and they turned out nicely, everything fit together. While the picture of the little girl is adorable, I'm not sure how that fits with Technocracy (bureaucratic government) or what "any of your business" has to do with anything! Oh well, it was a cute post anyway. Thanks for the idea ladies.
